About the Journey

PRAY. CREATE. CONNECT.

What this journeyholds.

What we hope to share through our sacred offerings
is “prayer”—an act people have cherished for as long as we have existed.

Prayer takes many forms.
Wishing for someone’s happiness.
Thinking of the people you love.
Giving thanks to nature.
Envisioning the future you are heading toward.
And quietly listening to your own heart,
asking, “How do I want to live?”

We express those feelings through sound.

ViVi’s voice and mogmin.’s resonance.
A voice born from the human body,
and the sound of crystal bowls born from minerals.

Two different resonances meet,
and layer with the wind and light of that land, the birdsong, the rustling of trees,
and the presence of the people gathered there.

The sound that can only be born in that moment, in that place,
we offer to the land.

Turning prayer into sound.

Whenever we visit a shrine,
we feel what has been handed down across long stretches of time.

The architecture and the forest, the festivals, the myths, the memories of local people.
Generation after generation has visited the same place,
leaving their wishes and their gratitude there.

We learn about each place where we will make an offering,
walk the land,
feel the air,
and consider what we wish to bring there.

And on the day itself, we listen to whatever is present in that moment.

Sometimes the wind blows.
Sometimes it rains.
Sometimes birds sing.

The sounds of nature there,
the presence of people,
even the silence—all of it becomes one Performance.

That is why the same performance can never be born twice.

Listening to the place,
resonating with the place,
turning the prayer that is here and now into sound.
That is our sacred offering.

DREAM → FORM → HARMONY

There is one more important theme on this journey.

“Not letting a dream remain only a dream.”

Feeling the small sensations and wishes that arise within you.
Taking one step from there.
Meeting people.
Meeting places.
Meeting the unexpected.

And then, little by little, giving real form
to what is born in that “in-between.”

Through this journey of offerings,
we ourselves are walking that process.

We did not see the whole road from the start.

By heading toward one place,
the next encounter is born.
By offering one sound,
we are connected to the next place.

The resonance that began in Yahiko
travels to Izumo, and on to the next land.

Each encounter
opens the next door.

Road to Carnegie

The world changes from within one person.

We also think about peace.

Precisely because it is such a big word,
we want to begin from the places we can actually touch.

Knowing your own senses.
Noticing what you truly want to cherish.
Believing in your own possibilities
and choosing your own life.
And, just as you care for yourself,
caring for the person in front of you.

A small change born within one person,
through their words and actions,
reaches their family, their friends, and society.

Just as ripples spread quietly
from a single drop falling on the water’s surface.

We believe in that single drop.

Listening to sound
and returning to yourself, even for a moment.
The awareness born there
leading to your next choice.
And that choice reaching someone else in turn.

For us, sacred offering performances are also a way
of sending such small ripples out into the world.

On the way to a dream.

There is a place we hope to reach someday.

Farther away.
To more people.

Heading for a great stage
is one of the dreams we hold.

But the places and people we meet on the way to that dream,
and the sounds born there,
feel just as precious as the dream itself.

Visiting a shrine.
Getting to know the land.
Meeting people.
Praying together and making sound together.
And then heading on to the next place.

Each of these
is proof that we are walking toward our dream.

Someday, when we stand on a great stage,
surely all the places and people
we met on this journey, and every resonance,
will be there with us.

That is why,
rather than chasing results alone,
we cherish the “in-between” as a dream becomes reality.

A small journey that began in Yahiko.

Offering sound,
meeting people,
connecting with the land,
and new dreams are born again.

How far will this resonance spread?
We ourselves
do not yet know.

And that is exactly why
we look forward to what comes next.

PRAY. CREATE. CONNECT.

Praying.
Expressing.
People connecting with people.

Carrying all of this in sound,
we will keep on traveling.

Believing that from a single resonance,
a new world will open once again.
